2012年12月20日，上海外滩英迪格酒店迎来了她的两周年庆典，邀请了著名策展人赵丹虹，以“倾城之爱——她•城市”为主题，展示三位中外女性艺术家Virginie Lerouge Knight、李戈晔、石高青的20件油画、水墨和装置艺术，这些作品将在酒店的一楼大堂和六楼江畔休闲空间展出。三位女性艺术家分别出生于60、70、80年代，来自法国的Virginie Lerouge Knight，是环境艺术家兼医学博士，李戈晔，是在苏州出生现居上海的当代水墨艺术家；石高青，是一位80后年轻艺术家，师出何多苓，近年被广泛关注且上升势头很快。
Virginie曾经在世界各地做过很多环境艺术作品，这次展览的是她的一些小件作品：一个自行车模型驮着一个红色轿车模型的轿厢，恰似拯救地球的“诺亚方舟”；另外有两幅特别的心型作品，仔细看，上面满是红色的小钩子站着，或者躺着，构成更多的爱心，是有雕塑感的架上小装置。

李戈晔的现代水墨作品，淡雅如她本人，清新如她的气质，画面总是一个漂浮的人，游曳于水和宣纸之间。她擅长将她的作品布置成立体的大装置，这次是以立轴和镜片的方式有限展示，让思想躲在画面后面省出空间。
石高青以恬静的心态，以细腻的笔触，耐心细致地描绘，通过动物的视角来看待我们密切关联的世界。她笔下的动物有着纯净的眼神，我们在欣赏她绘画作品的同时，可以体会到她在绘画过程中的温情和爱意，是人与自然和谐的篇章。正如陈丹青所言，石高青的动物主题油画作品，“能在即将寒冷的季节里，感受到它们带给人类的温暖。”
2012年12月20日，酒店开业两周年庆典之际，除了展出女性艺术家作品外，还将以点亮圣诞彩灯的仪式，启动一年一度欢乐季的到来，以此来传递酒店开业两年来对社会各界的感谢和回报。

Second Anniversary of Hotel Indigo Shanghai on the Bund
Hotel Indigo Shanghai on the Bund has much more to offer than an ordinary hotel. Shanghai Indigo Bund of Intercontinental Hotel group has been entered into the Asia-pacific area for two years. Indigo Hotel in shanghai is the first to open, the design of the hotel absorbes the essence of local culture, combined with the unique feature of surroundings as design inspiration. Anywhere in the hotel, you can appreciate the rich art decorations, with impeccable facilities, in the meanwhile you can also enjoy some of Shanghai's local culture.
20th Dec 2012 is the 2nd anniversary celebration of Shanghai Indigo Bund. planned an art exhibition with the theme "city love-- she &city". The show is presenting the artworks by three female artists, such as oil painting, ink painting and installations. Their works are displayed in the hotel lobby and 6th floor. These three female artists were bo in the different years, 60s 70s 80s. Virginie Lerouge Knight is A French environment artist. LI Geye an ink painting artist and Shi Gaoqing is a 80s young artist, and her popularity is growing rapidly.They are all very different from various backgrounds and cultures, and they use very different media in their artwork. But they share one important quality; they are all women. In this exhibition they want to express their own reflections about the love of the world around their from a women’s view.
Virginie Lerouge Knight has done several large environmental works in different places around the world. This exhibition will display a few of her smaller art works.While some pieces emphasize the aesthetic, most of them focus on real-life issues. “Evolution Shanghai” is a thought provoking piece about the fast development of Shanghai in recent years. The art pieces “Hook On” are more emotional and falsely romantic artworks made of red hooks. It show the design of a heart, but the risk of attraction in life is emphasised by the hooks. The two sculptures of a large lipstick and a female bust open a more feminist debate, both sculptures are made with sponges, which is a subtle reminder of woman’s position in most current societies.
Li Ge Ye’s works present portraits of nude people floating in transparent blue water. These figures seem to be quiet, relaxed, indulging, comfortable and strangely peaceful in their loneliness. Her works expresses the notion of human nature.
Shi Gaoqing’s painting are full of a very warm sensation, a peaceful state of mind. She expressed her unique thoughts to the world by the angle of view of animals. These animals in her paper are dove-eyed and pure which showed her deep tender and love to animal. There is a keen sense of this feeling during her creation, including the relationship of peace between the mankind and the nature. As Chen Dan Qing assessed her works is like the following comments: “Shi Gaoqing’s painting bring us the warmth and sweetness in the coming cold season”.
The hotel will celebrate their 2nd Anniversary and the happy season by lighting up the Christmas lights besides the female artists exhibition for all the guests to appreciate this special place and wish everybody all the best for the New Year.
